From a NCC Volunteer: While every Friday that I serve as hostess at NCC is a great day, today was especially great! It was a day when we had about 10 clients requesting rental assistance. We were only able to assist 3. A client waiting for her appointment came to me saying that she wanted to give up her appointment to another client who needed it more. I was so surprised that I had to ask her to repeat the request...As we were thinking about how to handle the situation, another client came to me with the same request. We were able to change the appointments and two other clients were substituted for the original two clients. I believe God is always present at NCC and He prompted two clients to show compassion. Seeing those two clients give up something that they needed for two others was way beyond my expectation. I pray that God showers them with blessings and that the clients who received their generosity will show compassion to others and may I do likewise." ~November 5, 2007
